Remember The Saplings chapter 1
Martyn Littlewood, King of the Kingdom of the Saplings took out on a new adventure. He had been summoned by an urgent letter sent by an anonymous person. His help was needed immediately, and he so kindly took up this mission alone. He had left his girlfriend Kaeyi to watch over his kingdom while he was away and promised his return to her. He instantly set out after saying his goodbyes and followed the coordinates left at the bottom of the letter. He came by a large mountain. The mountain was mostly made of rock and it was steep, but not too steep to climb.
“Oh, god.” Martyn said. Martyn began climbing, at first full of energy, but then he got tired in a few short minutes of climbing. Nevertheless, Martyn climbed on, reaching the top at sunset. Martyn decided to build a tent on the mountain. It was a dark green tent with a bed in it. Martyn let his eyes droop closed as he fell asleep.
Martyn woke up, his eyes fluttering open. It was light out, so he could finally see what wa

What are you two doing?!?!?
Xephos shook his head and carried on
He made his way into a clearing of flat plains. His stomach growled loudly. He groaned and slumped on the grass.
"At this rate. I'll starve to death before anything" Xephos looked over his shoulder as something caught his eye. He looked over at a pig in the distance. He stood up lazily as it started to trot away. Xephos went after it as it made it's way into the forest.
"There goes the last of my hunger." Xephos held hi
"It's the only way to get you fixed up, temporarily. Trust me I'm the scientist here. Here drink some of this" Lalna tossed him a bottle with a clear liquid inside. Xephos looked at him suspiciously.
“It’s only something to help with the pain” Xephos chugged it down quickly. He started to gag at it’s horrible taste. The lights suddenly turned back to normal.
“We don’t have enough time they’ll be back any minute and these medics will wake up soon" Lalna said as he sat down next to Xephos. Lalna cut a piece of cloth off where his wound was. Xephos bit onto his hand as Lalna started to sew up the cut in his side. Lalna looked at him as he was wrapping his stomach in bandages. Xephos’ was on the verge of tears. His hand had deep imprints where he had been biting, and it began to bruise around the edges.
"It's not my best work but it's the best I can do for now. When we get you home I can fix you up better. Now let's go." Lalna hel
Xephos screamed and changed back into his normal form. He looked down at himself. His body began to tremble and shake when he saw the torn flesh and ripped skin. The scientist smiled and brought his face close to Xephos'. Xephos let out a cry for help in his native language. Xephos looked around at the people surrounding him. They all came out as blurs of blue and white. The scientist smiled and grabbed Xephos by his cheeks. He squeezed the sides of his face and made him look face to face with him.
“Just wait until I get to see that brain of yours." He giggled. Xephos tried not to scream when he opened the hole in the side of his stomach. The room suddenly went red in Xephos' eyes.
"Lockdown? At and important time like this?" The scientist began to unhook Xephos from his place on the operating table.
"It's a lockdown?" Xephos tried to jump off and run but only managed to drop down onto the floor. An aching pain ran through his whole body as he tried to stand.
"You're lucky it's only examining today. Tomorrow is the fun part." He giggled. Xephos gulped. The man grabbed a needle off of the tray next to him He watched as the man injected a green liquid into him. The man looked him in the eyes and smiled at him. Xephos began to squirm as his whole body began to sting.
"What have you done to me?!"
“It’s just something to help you relax, so I can get through this without anymore injuries.” He said rubbing his hand. Xephos tried to keep his eyes open as he fell into unconsciousness.
Xephos woke up back inside his cage. He looked around and poked his head out of his cage. Usually most of the mutants were crying for help or even just crying but this time they were all deathly silent. Xephos jumped as the metal door down the hall creaked open. He heard the tiny pitter patter of feet. He watched as a small black and white hamster ran into his cell. He knew exactly who it was and growled as Honeydew changed back into human form.
Xephos began to squirm as they pressed his head into the ground.
“Wait! He only told em he was from another place there is no reason to do this. I will contact my boss! This is human abuse! I-” The woman stopped yelling when she saw them take off Xephos’ badge.” Xephos was put into chains as he changed into his other form. The woman stared in awe at him. Xephos willingly left with the soldiers that led him out into another room. He laid down in the furthest corner of his cage. He waited for the room to go dark before he found it was safe to try to sleep.
“Are you sure we should let him do this?”
“It’s perfectly fine. He’s a professional”
“But what if he kills it? Then what? We’d have to go to a distant planet, years away, to get another specimen like that!”
“We won’t kill it he has never lost a patient in his life.”
“This is riding on you. If anything goes wrong it’s all on
One of the younger looking guards ran to the front of their headquarters. He knocked on the giant metal doors. He didn’t wait for a reply and ran in.
“Ah, Daniel, how do you like my new office? I did some remodeling.”
“Sir, now’s not the time. We’ve just received orders from higher government. They want a full confession from the alien that he’s from other origins. And, they want one of their agents to do the interrogation. We won’t have any power of what he says.”
“LISTEN HERE!” The guard jumped and took a step back.
“I DON’T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING THEY SAY! WE ARE THE HIGHER GOVERNMENT AND I DO WHAT I WANT! THERE WILL BE NO INTERROGATION, WE WILL GO ON WITH OUR PLANS AS DIRECTED! Now go tell them that their plans will not be fulfilled.”
“I don’t have to sir.” There was a creak as the metal doors opened again. A woman in a dark blue almost black pantsuit stormed in. She raised her hand a
a dangerous hallucinationThe light coming through the window was bright,
much too bright.
Even though my eyes were closed
I could see it-
The skin of my arms prickled,
sweat dripped from my brow.
It was two in the afternoon but…
the sun was setting
through the window facing east.
I should have seen the hutch,
shelves lined with bone china
decorated with delicate leaves and vines.
I was so thirsty
and reaching for cups that should have been there.
Instead I found a billboard of butterflies,
the colors raging
more than any rainbow
I'd ever seen.
Their wings fluttered and flashed
yet somehow they moved in slow motion.
I wanted to stand,
wanted to reach out and touch them but…
I couldn't move,
and yet I laughed
ignoring my dry mouth
and the tingling in my feet.
There was a tempest
on the rise
and in my blood.
A sugar rush disguised
as a riot of butterflies
and they were swarming me.
There was a small vial
of insulin in my pocket
that I nev
