Remember The Saplings chapter 4

"I-I think we should get a-away from here." Martyn said, walking back towards the campfire.

"Why? If anyone were here, I’d know it. And if they were here to harm us, then they would have attacked by now."

"Then what do we do?"

"We’ll just stay here. No one’s going to harm us."

"Martyn: If you say so....."

Toby returned to working on his tent. He finished rebuilding his tent so that is was twice as big and two beds were placed inside.

"There we go! Done."

"Great! I’ve had enough for today" Martyn said as he laid down and quickly fell asleep.

"Night..."

~during the night~

Martyn can hear more voices whispering to him. He wakes up, unable to ignore them any longer.He walks outside and watches as some of the plants and trees sway around. The whispering gets louder with every step he takes. He goes back to bed instead of dealing with them, and he doesn't tell Toby of the encounter.

~Present day~
Toby had become close friends with Martyn in the few months. They had started to fool around with technology like Macerators and weird machines, not knowing what they were doing at all.

"Morning, Martyn." Toby said as he climbed out of the tent.Martyn smiled

"Hey, Morning! So that are we working on today?"

"Hmm I don't know we can look on the wiki... I’m hungry. I’m going to the farm to get something." Toby yawned and headed off to the wheat farm that they had build about two weeks back. As Toby made his way there he saw a blur of pink near the farm. He hides himself behind a tree and peaked around at the person. There stood a pink haired girl eating a piece of bread from a chest that sat next to the farm.

"What is it Toby?" Marty said, as he walked up behind Toby, scaring the living crap out if him.

"Someone’s here. It’s not anyone we know..." Martyn walked over towards the girl slowly so he ddn't startle her.

"Wha-"

"Martyn!" She dropped the bread and ran over and hugged him.

"Whoa- W-who w-what?"  He stumbled back as she squeezed him tightly.

"Don’t you remember who I am? It’s me, Kaeyi!"

"N-no, b-but b-breathe p-please..." Kaeyi let go of the breathless Martyn

"Did you hit your head or something?"

"What do you mean?"

"It’s like you completely forgot about me! And the kingdom! You didn't even come to look for us."

"K- kingdom?" Toby said with mouth agape.

"I-I don’t remember a kingdom. The last thing I remember was waking up on the beach and Toby found me."Kaeyi stared at him with shocked eyes, mixed with sadness and anger.

"WHAT?!? The queen..."
_{"When I see her again, I’m going to kill her..."} Kaeyi muttered under her breath

"Queen? Okay, I’m confused." Toby said sitting down.

"You’re telling me" Martyn whispered. Kaeyi grabbed Martyn.

"Well, come on! We’re going on a trip down memory lane!"

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa Toby help me here!" Toby grabs onto Martyn’s other arm.

"I’m- Trying!"

"You can go too,Toby." He let go of Martyn

"Now, come on! To the kingdom!" Kaeyi exclaimed.

"What kingdom!?" Martyn said stumbling after her.

"The Kingdom of the Saplings!" She knocks on Martyn’s head.

"Ow hey! Stop it!" Martyn laughed. Toby started laughing.

"Martyn’s getting 'beaten up!'."

"Shut up Toby!" Martyn laughed playfully.

"Can we go now?"

"Should we pack."

"Yeah we sh......Toby I can hear it again" Martyn froze.

"Hear what? Are you hearing the trees again? This is good! Go pack, you guys!"

"O-ok.... " He ran back to the camp, not noticing the trees bending behind him. Toby trailed behind him

"I’m... Very confused..."Toby whispered to Martyn.

"And I’m not" Martyn said sarcastically.Toby noticed sarcasm.

"Jerk." Toby elbowed Martyn.

"Hey I’ve already gotten beat today"

"Yeah, you were beat up by a girl."

"Shut up" Martyn punched Toby in the shoulder. Toby rubbed his shoulder, and smiled.

"Come on hurry up." Marty laughed. Toby ran ahead of Martyn, towards Kaeyi with everything packed into a large backpack. Martyn caught up to them quickly.

"Come on, this way!" Kaeyi pointed to the East.

"Well then let’s GO!"Martyn climbed up onto a long tree and began hopping tree to tree. Toby climbed up after him.

"This is how we usually get around" Toby said offering a hand to Kaeyi. Kaeyi took his hand and climbed up too.

"'Oh, good to know Martyn is still the jokester I knew."
