SIPS' POV

“God I’m hungry” I grabbed my stomach.

“Hey are you OK?” I turned to my left to see Sjin, he was in the glass tube next to me.

“ Uhh... yeah just hungry..”

“I can’t believe we have to do this again...” Sjin looked at me with his eyes full of tears.

“Yeah and we don’t even get to be on the same team this time..” I put my hand against the glass separating us.

"Remember go after Ridgedog no one else like we all said OK?" I looked at Sjin as he put his hand on the glass across from mine.

"O-ok but what if someone attacks me?..... who are you with I have Lomadia"

“You’ll be fine..I have silk shirt guy over there" I pointed to Xephos over my shoulder.

" Then you should be good" Sjin smiled at me.

'Bye Sips" Sjin turned towards the tower of chests in the middle.

"Bye Sjin" I looked at Xephos and nodded.

"Meet me at the big tree!"Xephos pointed to and oversized tree in the distance.

"GO"

I ran as fast as I could as the glass tube slid down into the ground. I ran to the first chest I saw while others how had already reached the chests were raiding the others. I turned around and found Martyn staring me in the face with an arrow to his forehead. He smiled as he saw my  face go deathly pale. A sword came flying, knocking the bow from Martyn onto the ground. I took it and ran but looked back once and saw Sjin being chased by Martyn. I stopped running and rested to see what I grabbed. Two egg, a sword, five arrows, and a green hoodie.

      "BOOM" A cannon shot off in the distance.

“There goes one” I got up and put the hoodie on and climbed the tree above him. I watched the people below run for their lives.

“RYTHIAN, RYTHIAN, PLEASE!” I looked out to the shore . Sjin was backing away from Rythian with his stone sword drawn and was advancing towards him.Sjin took out an arrow and held it up blocking himself from Rythian as he swung at his head.

“RYTHIAN STOP WE’RE SUPPOSED TO GO FOR RIDGEDOG!”

“AND LET YOU TAKE ZOEY AWAY FROM ME LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE?!” Rythian swung his sword again knocking Sjin into the water. The water started to turn red as blood seeped from Sjin’s leg. I jumped from tree to tree to help Sjin. Sjin started to sink down into the water. He desperately tried to get out of the water only to sink deeper and deeper. I stopped at the shore and watched as Rythian dove into the water and pulled Sjin out.

“Why-cough- would you help me?” Sjin backed away from Rythian.Rythian grabbed his shirt front.

“Do you think I was going to let you die a painless death?” Rythian tackled Sjin and stuck his sword through his arm pinning him down while he choked him. I jumped down and ran towards Rythian with his sword. Sjin gasped for air only to have his lungs filled with water. I ran up and slid my blade through Rythian’s back. Rythian could hear the familiar sound of a blade tearing through flesh.

“BOOM... BOOM!”Two cannons shot off.

“Z-zoey” was all Rythian muttered before blood started to bubble up out of his mouth. I watched as he fell on his back and choked on his own blood. I took their stuff  and started to walk off when I heard Lalna’s voice boom over the arena.

“Night time!” The sun started to move faster until it was sunset. I ran back into the forest and climbed up a tree to see who had all gone. Zoey’s face appeared in the sky, next came Rythian, his purple eyes sending chills down my spine, and then came Sjin’s.

“NNNOOOO!” I turned around as I heard someone scream.

“Boom!” another cannon shot off. I looked back up and saw Toby’s face appear in the sky.

“AAARRRGGG MINTY!” I could hear Martyn scream.

“At least Minty is OK..”  I stared at the night sky and slowly drifted off.

I woke at the sound of crunching leaves. I knelt down and watched looking out for anyone. I could hear someone close, almost next to me. I climbed higher hoping that my hoodie would keep anyone from seeing me. I held my breath as Martyn passed under me jumping from branch to branch. I started to climb down when I heard the branch under me start cracking. Martyn turned around and smiled at me with his now blood red eyes and a sword in his mouth. I turned around and jumped for the next branch but my foot was tangled in a vine. I tried to untangle my foot before Martyn could get closer. It was too late. I hung there upside down as Martyn held his sword to my neck.

“Um..H-hi M-Martyn” he glared at me his eyes felt like they were digging into me.

“I..um truce?” I put my hands between between my neck and his sword.He pressed the sword down so that my knuckles touched my neck..

“M-martyn we’re supposed to go after Ridgedog remember?” He pressed the sword down more making my fingers bleed. He went up to my ear.

“No one takes my saplings” He whispered in my ear.He cut the rope from around my feet and I hit my head on the ground. I looked up and realized that he had disappeared. I sat at the base of the tree and looked to see where he went when an arrow came flying by my face.

“Whoa” I looked at were the arrow came from when two more came both shooting through my shoulders and pinning me to the tree behind me. I stood there and watched as Minty emerged from the shadows.When I saw her hate-filled eyes I knew i should have ran when Martyn did.

“H-hey Minty y-you mind h-helping m-me with these a-arrows” I nervously smiled and tried to pull the arrows from my shoulders. She walked closer and glared at me with her caramel-colored eyes.

“YOU KILLED HIM! he was you're friend and YOU KILLED HIM!” She put her foot on my chest and loaded an arrow aimed at my head. I looked  into her eyes and could tell by the way she smirked that she saw the fear in my eyes.

“P-please M-minty It w-wasn’t m-me it was R-rythia-” I felt the blood trickle down my face and the arrow pierce.

“I-I M-minty..” I couldn’t say anything I just watched as my life rolled by and she stole my stuff.

“That was for Sjin” She whispered in my ear. I watched her walk off.
